What this webpage is about:
This webpage is about three people that have inspired me. They have had major influences in my life, their accomplishments, actions, and struggles they had to defeat, have inspired my mindset, and how I view the world. All these three people are historical figures, learning about them has had a profound impact on me. In this webpage I will be explaining specifically each of their impacts on me and how they have inspired me.
FDR
FDR was the 32nd President of the United States. He was a very notable president, serving over the Great Depression, and World War II. He was known for his courage, passion of helping others, being honest, and being humble. He got America out of the worst economic period of its history, and successfully avenged the Pearl Harbor attack done on US soil by Japan, by winning the war by making Japan surrender.
Stephen King
Stephen King is an American author, known as the "King of Horror", he has written most of his work from 1980s - 1990s. However, he still does write. Most of his novels have become very famous, selling more than 350 million copies of his books. He worked very hard for his success, coming from practically nothing. Not only is he one of my favorite authors, he also has shown me that no matter where you come from, you can be successful as long as you work hard.
Gandhi
Gandhi is one of the most famous activists in the world. Even though he worked in London, India, and South Africa, he is known worldwide for his methods of non-violence resistance. He contributed greatly, and spent years of his life to contribute to India's independence from Britain. He inspires me as he has shown me that violence is never the answer. He has shown the world that wars cause only pain and suffering, and in the end, victory no matter on what side, isn't worth it.
